  11. The DDN MANAGEMENT BULLETIN is distributed online by the DDN Network
  12. Information Center under DCA contract as a means of communicating
  13. official policy, procedures and other information of concern to
  14. management personnel at DDN facilities.  Back issues may be read
  15. through the TACNEWS server ("@n" command at the TAC) or may be
  16. obtained by FTP (or Kermit) from the NIC.DDN.MIL host [192.67.67.20]
  17. using login="anonymous" and password="guest".  The pathname
  18. for bulletins is DDN-NEWS:DDN-MGT-BULLETIN-nn.TXT (where "nn" is the
  19. bulletin number).

  22.                           MTACs Operational 
  23.              with Limited Monitoring and Control Capability
  24.  
  25. This bulletin is reissued with two corrections to the trouble desk
  26. phone numbers provided below.  The corrections are noted with
  27. asterisks (*).

  29. As of 6 February 1991, DCA began process of declaring operational those 
  30. MTACs with operational users connected.  However, the current versions of 
  31. the software installed in the MTACs and in the Monitoring Centers' C/70s 
  32. allow only a limited MTAC monitoring and control capability.
  33.  
  34. The software to allow the required MTAC monitoring and control capability 
  35. is being developed.  A new version of the MTAC software has been 
  36. completed.  However, the patches to interface the new MTAC software with 
  37. the C/70s are still under development.  The estimated completion date is 
  38. July 1991.  Until then, MTAC users should immediately notify their 
  39. respective Monitoring Centers if they have suspected MTAC problems:
